White on White: Discovering the Colour Spectrum of White
This workshop will explore the properties of colour and the colour wheel through the process of painting white stilllife
objects. Participants will be encouraged to see and explore the subtleties of “white” hues, using value, intensity,
and colour temperatures to transform their canvases. Ample time will be given to build up canvases over the course
of the weekend. Acrylics or water-based oils m ay be used in this workshop.

This workshop provides an overview of copyrights that commonly pertain to visual artists. The workshop will cover
the following topics: exhibition rights, reproductions rights and moral rights, international aspects of copyright laws,
license and assignment of copyright, and copyright collectives.

Maxing Your Medium: Exploring Acrylic Paint Mediums
There are an exciting number of mediums and additives available for use with acrylic paint. This workshop is a one
day hands-on exploration of acrylic paint mediums. There will be a combination of demonstrations and guided
hands-on-activities to help participants explore traditional and non-traditional uses of a variety of acrylic mediums.
Small samples of mediums will be supplied to participants for use during the workshop. Some painting experience
is required.
