The Art Gallery of Regina's Curatorial
Objectives are:
To show the very best contemporary art currently being produced in this province in the broadest range possible in terms of genres and styles.
To present interesting and provocative exhibitions from outside the province that inspire the creation of new work and provide a context for Saskatchewan art.
To provoke an investigation into the deeper issues underlying contemporary art to generate public interest and facilitate dialogue among artists and audiences.
Submissions
The Gallery invites exhibition proposals from artists and independent curators. Priority is given to Saskatchewan artists although all Canadian artists will be considered. Submissions should include: 20 slides or digital images, C.V., artist's statement, installation and equipment requirements, and self-addressed stamped envelope. Submission deadlines are:
June 15, 2010 and January 15, 2011

Call for Submissions: HOPE
The Art Gallery of Regina is calling for submissions for an exhibition that addresses the concept of hope. Works in all mediums will be considered. A diversity of approaches to the topic is sought, including: Artist as agent of hope. Art as a hopeful act. Hope - confident desire or wishful thinking?
This exhibition is scheduled for October 2013 so work in progress and proposals for new work will be considered.
Submissions should include: a CD of up to 10 digital images, list of images, CV, and an artist statement relating the work to the subject.

Outside the Box Shows
In addition to our regular curatorial programming, the Gallery presents a series of open-access exhibitions Outside the Box (in the hallway), in our members' Showcase , and off-site at our satellite spaces in the Cathedral Village Free House and at Sask Central.
These shows complement our regular exhibition programming by providing additional opportunities for local artists to show and sell their work.
Outside the Box - features 42 running feet of display space directly outside the main gallery to accommodate 10 works of art.
Members' Showcase
is a locked display cabinet measuring 52"h x 45"w x 21"d suitable for both two and three-dimensional artwork
Cathedral Free House / Sask Central Satellites
- accommodates 5 or 6 larger works of art (min. 3' h)
- Free House exhibits move to the Sask Central location for a 2nd exhibition period.
- Exhibition periods coincide with the Gallery's regular exhibition schedule
- The Gallery promotes the shows in conjunction with our regular exhibition
program.
This is a members only opportunity.
Submission process:
Interested artists should submit a brief exhibition proposal describing the work they wish to show (including subject matter, media, size, and number of pieces available) and enclose a maximum of three slides or digital images.
Also include a title for the show.
Please indicate clearly whether you wish to book Outside the Box , the Showcase, or the Cathedral Village Free House/Sask Central satellite space.
